A Tour of the Roxburghe

Posted on 17th Jun 2016 Categories: Shooting

At House of Cheviot we’re always keen to support local businesses and events within the Borders so yesterday we visited the Roxburghe Hotel near Kelso for a tour of their newly renovated Shooting School.

Our tour guide was the lovely Tracy who is a senior CPSA coach and runs both Roxburghe Shooting School and a very successful shooting school in South East England. Enthusiastic, fun and a genuine lover of all things country, Tracy could convince anyone to step outside their comfort zone and try their hand at Clay Pigeon Shooting.

The Roxburghe Shooting School have many exciting events coming up this summer, especially the resurrection of the Kelso Civic Week Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition which we have decided to sponsor. From Ladies Day Shoots to Gamekeeper Challenges and Tomahawk throwing there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the Roxburghe Shooting School.

Next time we visit we’ll be ditching the designer handbags and skyscraper heels in favour of a shotgun and safety glasses!
