Wishlist to Wardrobe

As the saying goes, “The first step is admitting you have a problem.” So… I’m Ashley and I’m a shopaholic.

I am the voice of the stiletto, the champion of the little black dress and the number one fan of the tweed jacket. Nothing gives me more pleasure than the moment my fingers curl round the handles of a shiny bag in a store, knowing that in a few moments all the gorgeous things inside become mine.

As much as it pains me to say this, it’s time to ditch the summery dresses and sandals and don clothing better suited to the season. But whilst the cold weather and long nights can feel a little depressing it does mean I am able to have a lot more variety in my wardrobe. An excuse to shop! I’m ready to invest my hard earned cash. I like my money right where I can see it… sitting on my shoe rack and hanging in my wardrobe.

But what will I be purchasing this autumn? Ladies country clothing has changed drastically in recent years and has seen a surge in popularity thanks to brands like Holland Cooper, Fairfax & Favor and Gibson & Birkbeck. Gone are the days of unflattering, dull tweed skirts, 200 denier tights and old fashioned brown brogues. Twenty first century country clothing is chic, tailored and colourful. The choice is enormous but I’ve managed to choose 7 key pieces that will take me (and you) from autumn through to 2019 in style.

Mayfiar Tweed Jacket (Fawn Blanket) by Guinea London

A classic, trans-seasonal tweed jacket made in unique Guinea London fabric. Perfect for wearing with jeans and boots or team it with a navy skirt and Mary Janes (think Carrie Bradshaw and go for stiletto heels to keep it chic) for the ultimate office outfit. A must have for AW18.
